Allen Robinett, the first of his surname to settle in Pennsylvania, and the first American ancestor of nearly all the present-day people bearing variants of his patronymic (to wit: Robinett, Robinette, Robnett) in the United State and Canada - emigrated, with Margaret, his wife, and doubtless with some of their children from “the country Palatine of Chester” (i.e., Cheshire), England, from the parish or township of Bunbury, in 1682, with William Penn’s colonists of “First Purchasers and Adventurers from Old England into Pennsylvania” - to use a phrase of that day.
The following documents were researched and/or written by:
Captain John D. Robinett, (USN) in the 1890s
Allin P. Robinett of Philadelphia
James M. Robinett of Beaumont, Texas
Without their dedicated work on the history of the Robinett Family much of the information contained in their research would not be available today.
Knowing that all family research enthusiasts love to share information, I am making electronic copies of the first volume Allen Robinett and his Descendents in America available for download.
I hope to have electronic copies of the other four (4) volumes of this work now in my possession available soon.
